Sorry for the terrible tabloid style title, but I couldn’t resist it!! You see I saw these pics of the HEROES actress & thought there’s a rather fine looking young lady that I’ve not posted about & plus I know she’s one of ANDREW’S favourite babes, so thought it be rude not to post some pics of her!!
Of course I’m talking about HAYDEN PANETTIERE, the 18 year old star (I KNOW!!), has just done a photo shoot for American clothing line CANDIES, where it also seems she is promoting her first single!! Don’t let that put you off, you know she’s a hottie….just have a look HERE for the pics!!
No much to say about these pics but: ‘Hubba, Hubba’…… You may all remember the rather lovely JENNIFER ELLISON from her early appearance in Brookside, well since then this lovely 25year old Liverpool lass has turned out to be a right cracker, with, to be honest, great breasts!!
Since, Brookside Jennifer has starrted in the West End version of ‘Chicago’ & the film version of ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ plus she has also judged a dancing TV prog based on the film: ‘Dirty Dancing.’
But, if you ask me, her biggest & best talent are her cracking boobies & the fact that she likes to show them off is fine by me…..After seeing her latest set of pictures, I decided to have a look for some of her past pics & lets just say her port-folio is pretty impressive….if you don’t believe me just click HERE.
As I mentioned earlier, last week we all went to see the latest Disney-Pixar movie WALL-E….not on our usual Tuesday evening slot, but at 10.30am on a Sunday morning!! Why so early? I hear you cry…..Well that’s because we had managed to secure ourselves free tickets to a preview screening of the film!!
So was it worth getting up at this un-earthly hour on a Sunday morning….you bet it was!! Although the film is not laugh out loud, side splittingly funny, it is just truely brilliant… You see Pixar have made a cinematic masterpiece here, beautifuly shot/made (it is a cartoon remember), most realistic/life like looking & a wonderful story…..Even though, for the first half of the film their is hardly any dialogue - except for robot noises/squeeks, there is no escpaing that a love story is unfolding in front of your eyes between 2 robots - Wall-E & EVE!!
Set in the future, Wall-E is a robot designed to collect, crush & stack all the rubbish on earth that has been left there by us humans - whilst the whole of earth lives on a giant space station, getting fat & lazy!! This space station sends down a droid, EVE, to earth to search for vegetation…which of course she finds when Wall-E gives her a plant he found on his travels.
Cue the romance & over 90mins of 2 robots in various states of love, does she love him, can he save her, can she save him, will he remember her etc etc…. I’ll admit, the end of the film is not as good as the begining but this film is simply brilliant & easily Pixar’s best bit of cinematography to date!! Plus, the subtle underline note of what will happen to the earth if we just abuse its goodness is just right to get the kids talking & thinking about recycling & exercise etc!!
In CHRIS’s words the film is ‘Sweet’ so overall, a rather brilliant 9/10 from me…..
Hey, regular visitors to this site may have noticed a distinct lack/slow down in posts recently….well I’m not gonna lie to you, this is mainly due to the birth of my son!! You may have also noticed that any posts have been film reviews & not the usual mixture of funnies/babes that you’ve got to know & love!!
Well, I promise to start getting back into the normal rhythm of adding posts & of the content you want to see…..that is there are things that take my interest first!! To ease us nicely back into this routine - check out the following page HERE where you’ll find a few random pics of some lovely ladies in various states of undress!!
What more could you want eh……remember to keep checking back soon for more posts of this nature!! Having said that, the next post will be my review on the new Disney film - ‘Wall-E’……oh well!!
So last weeks film was the latest offering from WILL SMITH, called HANCOCK, which is basically about a man with super powers gone bad!! Well, not so much bad, but more lazy & un-appreciated by the public…..You see HANCOCK doesn’t seem to do things the easy way, rather than fly away with the car that’s about to struck by a train, he decides just to flip the car out of the way & stop the train in its tracks!! Cue hundreds of annoyed passengers & drivers complaining that he’s just ruined their vehicles etc!!
The reviews I’d heard, were that the film was pretty short & the end wasn’t as good as the begining & left you wanting more!! I can’t say I totally agree with this…..although I found the start of the film good & pretty amusing, I also felt it was a bit of a non starter!! I didn’t like or dislike the character etc……However, I did find the end of the film pretty damn good & to be honest was aware of the twist/additional storyline in the film involving CHARLIZE THERON, infact I look forward to the sequel - which I’m sure there will be!!
Overall, my score on the door for this movie would be 7.5/10…….No film for me next/this week, but I did see Wall-E this morning so will review that soon!!
So this week we ventured of to the cinema once again to see the film WANTED…..Now, from the trailers that I had seen it was obvious that JAMES McAvoy’s character (Wesley Gibson) was a normal bloke in a normal boring job with low self esteem!! That is until his world is turned upside down when he meets the gorgeous ANGELINA JOLIE in the local store, who then informs him that his Dad was a super assassin, that he is due to follow in his footsteps & that the bloke in the cereal aisle is there to kill him!!
Cue over 60mins of crazy car chases, ridicolous bullet firing, MATRIX style slow-mo action & they even had a training montage…..gotta have a montage, even Rocky had a montage - as to rip off CHRIS’ review!! To be fair, the action sequences were very enjoyable, if not completely unbelievable, not though as unbelievable as the whole basis/foundation on what this group of assassins were acting upon!!
You see, the leader of the group of deadly assassins is Sloan (MORGAN FREEMAN), who it turns out takes his orders of who must be killed from the ‘Loom of Fate’ or ‘Loom of Doom’ as we all called it…..It seems that many years ago a group of master weavers noticed that ‘mistakes’ in the weave from the loom actually spelt out BINARY CODE, which once decoded spelt out the name of someone who must be killed!!
What a load of old sh*t….I can’t remember another film that I’ve seen that has a more ridicolus basis for a plot….but suprise suprise it seems that this film is too based on a comic book!! We all joked, that would telling the police that our reason for killing someone was that our knitted jumper told us too!!
Anyway, apart from the crazy ‘Loom of Doom’ plot line, the film was actually pretty good, full of action - if not a tad unbelievable, and pretty violently graphic with it….infact a few people left the cinema due to the voilence!! Or was it the plot??
Overall, my score would be a respectable 6.5/10……Next week HANCOCK.
Hey all, about time for another movie review eh? Well this weeks film was the latest remake/rebrand/follow up, what ever it was of THE INCREDIBLE HULK…. You may remember the 2003 film called HULK, staring Eric Bana…which funnily enough was a movie verison of the 1970’s TV show!! Well, as you may recall the film was pretty terrible - relying too much on CGI & just really didn’t do much.
Well, this latest version of the film stars EDWARD NORTON as Gamma radiation affected Bruce Banner & his quest to rid himself of the radiation that turns him green when he gets angry!! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this film as I thought it might be muxh the same as the last one & use a lot of CGI…
However, I was pleasantly suprised with this version…despite the rather long drawn out love story between Bruce & Betty (played by LIV TYLER). There was good action and over all a pretty decent storyline!! The highlight of the whole film though, was definatley the final fight scene where the HULK battles it out with some mutant soilder, who willingly injects himself with gamma radiation in order to be able to fight the HULK!! The graphics for this fight scene were superb & pretty realistic…..
Overall, I liked the film a lot more than I thought I would & to top it off a cameo apperance by Tony Stark (He of IRON MAN fame, played by ROBERT DOWNEY JR ), which sets up a rather tasty sound sequel or collaboration of heroes!!
My score for this film is……6.5/10.
P.S:- Whilst searching for a picture of the movie poster of this film, I found this PIC….maybe if there was more of this in the film I would have given it 7/10!!??
Check out this rather clever and funny video that I saw the other day on YOU TUBE…. A pretty catching tune I’m sure you’ll agree, which is: Toe Jam by The BPA (Featuring David Byrne & Dizzy Rascal).
However, its the video that I think is pretty well done, a unique way of using that lovely black box (no jokes please!!) known as a censor bar. Not only does it cover all the rude bits but it has also been worked into the video!! I especially like the old bat and ball game part of the video!!
Check it out below & let me know what you think? My only comment is that they could have left it off when the women were in shot!! Although, I suppose, that would have ruined the whole concept!!
