So, I’ve been beaten by time yet again for film reviews….as I said in a previous post, my up & coming duties as best man have taken up with a lot of my time!! The same can be said for the last few weeks too, especially as the stag trip was only a few weeks ago!! I may well blog about this in the coming weeks, but for the time being its all about the films we saw over the past month or so!!

angels_and_demons_xlgANGELS & DEMONS:

Easy review this one, short & sweet….Not as good as the first film: The Da Vinci Code! Much of the same kinda thing though….a rather chunkier Tom Hanks, trying to figure out the internal wranglings of the church!! This time its the Roman Catholics he investigates & low and behold finds a corrupt priest!! If you’d like a more indepth review, take a look at my mates Chris’ blog!! My rating: 5.5/10.

nightNIGHT AT THE MUSUEM 2:

Another quick review….Not as good as the first film: Night at the Musuem!! More of the same again, I’m afraid…Ben Stiller returns as the museum night porter who interacts with the exhibits as they come to life!! I know, it could happen. This time, however, most of the artifacts are on the move to storage in Washington….OH NO!! Fear not Ben Stiller will save the day & he does. The film is ok, quite funny in places & Hank Azaria makes a very funny appearance as an Egyptian God!! I would say, this is a pretty safe family fun movie that you can watch on DVD when it comes out!! My rating: 6/10.

terminator-salvation-movie-poster_480x741TERMINATOR : SALVATION:

Another easy review….Not as good as Terminator 2: Judgment Day….but then again, was it ever likely to be!!?? Actually, this was really rather good!! Set just after Judgment Day, the film follows John Connor as his fight against Skynet - surprise, surprise hey!! In my opinion the story wasn’t the best, but I believe that this is the first in another trio of films….all dependant on the success of this one!! My point being, that the plot is more story setting for the future films, rather than on John Connor, if that makes any sense!! Anyway, what this film may lack in story, definatley makes up for in action & special effects. Some truely superb action sequences of Terminators fighting…sweet!! Christian Bale, also did a pretty good job as John Connor, but was it just me or did he deliver one of the first lines he had in the style of Batman!!?? Overall, a good start to the next batch in the Terminator series…it coudln’t have been any worse than Rise of the Machines eh? Plus the fighting robots, just wets my appetite for the next Transformers movie, out next week!! My rating is: 8/10.

kittens-2.jpgSo you may be wondering why I’m writing a post entitled: ‘Fluffy Little Kittens’?? Well its a little bit of an experiment/test!! You see today I had a conversation with a rather nice sounding & friendly lady from my website hosting company….Of course this was a sales call, trying to get me to take up their broadband & phone package & considering I get my broadband free through work, I wasn’t planning on changing - but hey she was friendly, its Friday & the sun was shining, so I decided to play along with her sell!!

Unfortunately, I can’t remember the ladies name, but the first question she asked me was about my website….

Lady: “So what’s BroadPaul.co.uk about?”

Me: “Just a blog, where I write a lot of rubbish - film reviews etc & no one reads it….”

Lady: “I’m sure 2 or 3 people read it….Why the name BroadPaul?”

Me: “It’s just a nickname I’ve got - I’m quite Broad shouldered…I can take it!!”

Lady: “I’m sure you can….so who is your broadband ISP?”

….Next follows the chat about changing ISP & the fact my broadband is free..

Lady: “So do you want to switch from your free broadband & start paying us?”

Me: “Not really”

Lady: “Didn’t think so, nor would I….anyway nice speaking to you, I might have a look at your sight later tonight…”

Me: “Errrr, feel free, but I’m not sure you’d particularily enjoy/like everything on there…..”

Lady: “Oh really - well I’ll definately have a look now…Have a good day sir”

So, there you go…my little experiment is to see if the lady has actually looked at my site, I’m pretty convinced she wont…but you never know!! Therefore, I thought I’d post a few pics of some Fluffy Little Kittens, rather than the usual pictures I post!!

Hopefully, if the lady is reading this, then she’ll leave me a comment & let me know what she thinks to my little blog? Here’s hoping….

kelly-brook-riley-steele-bikini-1-07.jpgWell, I’d thought it about time I added a new post….you see my blog has sorta taken a back seat over the past few weeks due to being a best man at my friends wedding!! What with planning & executing a successful Stag Do in Monte Carlo, I’ve been way toooooo busy to even look at it, let alone write the 3 film reviews that I have let build up!! I hope to get these done by the weekend!!

Anyway, I couldn’t let this opportunity pass to blog about an up & coming piece of cinematic gold…You see next year sees the release of Piranha 3D - yeah I’ve never heard of it earlier!! It seems this horror/thriller is set around a tremor occuring underneath Lake Victoria & unleashes loads of killer prehistoric piranha’s….ohh scary!! The film stars Elizabeth Shue & Richard Dreyfus, plus a rumoured appearance from Christopher Lloyd.

However, one thing is for sure, the film stars porn star Riley Steele & British Hottie; Kelly Brook!! I can imagine the scene now - 2 bikini glad girls enjoy the sun on a boat in the middle of Lake Victoria, when danger attacks!! Out of the water comes killer piranhas and eats them alive….yeah yeah, whatever!! What, I’m more interested in, is the fun they seemed to have whilst on set filming this sure fire hit movie!! Playing with each others bikini straps & tops…infact they had sooo much fun, it seems Riley didn’t realise her nipple had popped out!!

Check out the pics after the jump & wonder at the awesome power of Kelly Brook’s breasticals & remember what I said earlier…this film is coming out in 3D…..imagine that, Kelly Brooks boobs popping out of the screen in 3D - roll on next year!!

Look who’s 1!!!

boy2.jpgHey all, time for a bit family time here on my blog as this week saw the 1st birthday of my boy Joshua!! For those of you that know me (most of ya!!), I can not believe that I’ve been a Dad for a year - how that time has flown by….To be honest, you do hear horror stories of how parenthood can be tough in the first few years, well touch wood, Joshua has been a breeze to bring up so far!! I know this may change the older he gets & there has been the odd testing moment but he’s been great….then again I am biased!! Finally, I mustn’t finish this post without mentioning my beautiful wife, Connie, who has just been the best Mummy Joshua could ask for….she’s adapted to Motherhood with ease!!

Anyway, check out the pics after the break, if you wanna see the boy on his birthday….

For some reason time has just run away from me & hence no blogging for the past 3 weeks or so….Unfortunately, that has meant no film reviews & believe it or not, we’ve actually seen a film on every one of those weeks, so I’ve got 3 film reviews to do!!

Suprisingly, I’m not gonna sit & write an in depth review for each…I just don’t have the time, plus I’m sure I’d be lacking some of the info required to do so….therefore I’m going to just do 3 mini reviews on the 3 films, starting with:

crank-2CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE:

This film is the sequel to Crank & continues the saga of Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) & his dodgy ticker this time having to keep himself ‘charged’ to keep himself alive!! If you’ve seen the first film, you may be wondering how there could be a sequel when the ending shows Chev hitting the ground at high speed after falling 35,000 feet from a helicopter!! Well, the writers couldn’t believe it easier & basically described the whole event as “unbelivable bullsh*t.” Which, is exactly why I enjoyed the film soo much….. It didn’t take itself seriously, had crazy fight scenes (including a Godzilla tribute), extremely bad language & crude put downs - that I couldn’t possibly repeat!! Plus it had plenty of, this, this, this oh & this…..Marvelous. Overall, the film isn’t going to win any awards, but hey it was fun….Jason Statham was his usual Cockney self & Amy Smart looked fit as with her pert titties & arse more or less permantely on show!! My overall rate would be an entertaining: 6.5/10.

wolverineX-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE:

I actually really enjoyed this film, Chris & Andrew it seems, on the other hand weren’t so keen…However, in the words of Louis Walsh - ‘I liked it…..’ Starring Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, the film follows the Orgins (funnily enough) of how he became part on the X Men regime. One of the reasons I enjoyed the film, was because I don’t actually know much about the whole X Men story & introduced me to some new X Men characters!! The story is basically about the on going fight between Logan/Wolverine & his brother Creed/Sabretooth - both of who are Mutans. With plenty of action, fighting & a pretty decent story the film was pretty enjoyable….the only think that let it down was some of the CGI was pretty poor & obvious!! I’m sure that the success of this film, may lead to more Origin spin offs, such as Storm or Cyclops?? My score would be a respectable 7/10.

star-trekSTAR TREK:

Last weeks film, was by far the best of the 3, of course I’m talking about the lastest film by J.J Abrams, Star Trek. To be honest, I’m not going to bother to review it for a couple of reasons: 1) So you just go & see it (although if you’re reading this, your were probably there with me!! 2) I wouldn’t want to offend anyone with my lack of general Star Trek knowledge. You see, unlike the rest of the cinema group, I’m not a great Star Trek fan….I haven’t watched every other film, nor did I really watch the TV series in any of its incarnations (TNG, Deep Space 9 or Voyager etc). Hence, why I wasn’t particulary bothered about the whole new cast thing….How could ‘Sylar’ be ‘Spock’? or You can’t have someone else playing Kirk!! arguements!! Anyway, I actually thought the whole casting was pretty spot on & ‘Sylar’ (Zachary Quinto) was very good as Spock. Plus, the whole time travel ‘alternate reality’ thing was well done & just made me think of an ‘alternate 1985′….Overall, I can definatley recommend this film, for all round entertainment & over 2 hours of cinematic pleasure!! My score out of 10 would be an excellent 9….

anna-faris-arena-02So one of the downsides to running a website like this…if you can call it a down side!! Is that you end up with a lot of random pictures of various lovely looking ladies in various states of undress!! Sometimes, you just don’t have any reason to post them…until now!!

You see, I’ve created a new category called Alphabet Babes…where over a period of time, I’m going to post a few pics of honies from my collection whose name’s are in Alphabetical order!! So, we start with ‘A’ of course…

Included in ‘A’ we have pics of: Supermodels Abigail Clancy & Audriana Partridge, actresses Anna Farris & Amber Heard to name a few….Remember to check back soon for regular updates!! Can you guess what letter will ‘B’ next?

Well, to be honest it could actually be any letter - just depends on what pics I’ve got floating around….it could even be an update to this ‘A’ gallery!! Anyway, to see the pics, just view the gallery after the jump!!

Nude Biel - UPDATE

April 21st, 2009 2 Comments

jessica-biel-nude-powder-blue-02You may have seen my recent post about the lovely Jessica Biel & the fact that she has starred nude in her latest movie: Powder Blue….well at the time of posting there weren’t any pictures around of the scenes in question…Just quick glimpses screen capped from the trailer!! Well, now pictures have surfaced of the nude scenes & it would be rude of me not to post them…. so check the gallery for the pics & I’m sure you’ll agree they’re worth seeing, even if the film isn’t!! Sweet as…….

Fast & Furious

April 21st, 2009 1 Comment

fast_and_furious_movie_posterSo before we set off on tonights trip to the cinema, which I’m sure will be another journey into film heaven!! (Well, I think there’s gonna be nudity in it!!). I thought I’d better post a quick review about the show we saw last week…..Believe you me, when I saw a quick review, I mean quick review!! Because, I bascially can’t remember too much about it!! Must have been that memorable eh?? That’ll teach me for going away at the weekend & not blogging!!

Anyway, the film in question was Fast & Furious - which is actually the 4th film in the series, but funnily enough it seems to be set right after the 1st film, rather than the poor 3rd….It also stars the original cast & actually follows on from the 1st film rather well!! In fact, the film is way better than both the 2nd & 3rd films, not only due to the fact that the original cast is back, but also the story line is also way better than 2 & 3. To top it off, they also seem to have rolled out the good cars again, back is the muscle cars like; Dodge Charger - which puts a tick in the box from me & gone are a lot of the flimsy Japanese sports cars….

The basic plot is based around racing to get the chance to run drugs across the American/Mexican border for money…obviously things go wrong & all hell breaks loose, with the good guys up against the bad guys by pushing their driving skills to the max. Overall, the film is ok, more or less what you expect from Fast & Furious film - way better than 2 or 3 & on a par with the orginal. My score out of ten would be a respectable 6….would have been better if in 3D eh??
