So its been a while since we all popped along to the cinema to see a good film……Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer!! For one not the whole group could make it….only the 3 of us were available & the film was not especially good!! Ok, so it wasn’t particulary bad either, in fact we all (3 of us) thought that it was neither good nor bad, nor exciting or dull, just plain old ok.
One thing we did all agree on was that Body Of Lies actually turned out to be nothing like the trailer portrayed it to be…we all thought the film was about an undercover CIA agent (Leonardo DiCaprio), who had been ‘burned’ by his boss & the department & left all alone to defend for himself in the middle of war torn Jordan!!
However, it seems that his boss (Russell Crowe) is actually on his side & helping him infiltrate Islamist mastermind Al-Saleem’s Terrorist network….as I siad above the film is neither great nor crap, it just didn’t set the screen alive, which is strange considering its Director is Ridley Scott!!
Overall, I’d highly recommend waiting to catch this on DVD, rather than rushing to seeing this at the cinema…unless that is you want to sit for 2 hours & be mildly entertained!! My score out of ten is a mediocre 5.5…..maybe we’ll see something better this week, then again!!??

Hopefully this post will bring attention to you all about an up & coming TV programme that I have read about….Some of you may have heard about it (Namely you American TV show buffs – Mr Cooke & Mr Dart!!), most of you wont until now!!
To be completely honest, I haven’t a clue if this show is actually any good, but what I do know is that there are plenty of boobies in it, so its alright by me!! The show is called: True Blood & will be showing on our screens on the FX channel next summer – so make sure you keep your eyes peeled…. The basic premise of the show follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people’s minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires ‘came out of the coffin’ on national television….and we all know how much we love girls & vampires…..remember Buffy anyone??
The show stars Anna Paquin, a name who may not be overly familar to you, but she starred in The Piano many years ago & more recently played Rogue in the X Men movies!! Well, it seems Miss Paquin, has grown up quite a bit & isn’t shy in showing us her lovely pert breasts in her latest role…..marvelous!! If that wasn’t enough another star of the show likes to get her boobies out too. Introducing, Lizzy Caplan, another name you may not be familar with, but she starred in hit movie Cloverfield earlier this year & let me tell you she has an absolutely lovely pair of funbags…..If you don’t believe me, you know that I wouldn’t be so unkind not to show you!! Just click here to few the pics of these two lovley ladies assests….(Miss Paquin is blonde & Miss Caplan the brunette!!). As you can see, they don’t just show us a quick glimpse of the goodies, it seems to be quite a regular occurance in various episodes!!
Personally, this is one American TV show that I’ll be tuning into next year, how about you??

The fact that this review has taken me a week to write, might tell you something about what i thought about the latest James Bond movie: Quantum Of Solace!! Now its not that I didn’t enjoy it…infact its a very good action movie!! But that’s the problem with it in my mind, its just an action movie!! In my opinion, I didn’t feel as if I was watching a ‘Bond’ film, this has nothing to do with Daniel Craig’s ability to play the role…infact I think he’s pretty good. It was more the lack of ‘Bond’ style excitment/drama/gadgets etc.
The story was also pretty poor – as my good friend & fellow blogger Chris expalins, the main bad guy turned out to be a man that hoarded water in order to force a drought & sell the water back at excessive prices!! Oh scary eh?? Especially, when you consider the opening scenes revolves around the capture & torture of Mr White (he from the last scene in: Casino Royale), who informs Bond that the organisation he works for are everywhere & have people everywhere….cue a mole in MI6!! Why didn’t we follow this storyline to find out who Mr White works for & why they are infiltrating MI6 etc….
Perhaps, the best thing to come out of this ‘Bond’ movie is the introduction of Olga Kurylenko as the latest Bond girl; Camille. Ok, so she doesn’t get her kit off in the flick (well she does, but you don’t see anything!!), however, she does look pretty fine in some of the scenes…plus that allows me to search for pics of her on the web & she has done quite a few photoshots, check em out here.
Finally, I must also comment on something Chris brought up in his blog…..No, not the obvious product placement from the likes of Sony, Ford, Aston Martin, Range Rover or Virgin Atlantic…but the slight chance that the upskirt glimpse seen at the end of the film by the waitress, may have actually revealled a bit of beaver!! Unfortunately, no screen gaps exist of this on the web, so perhaps you should go watch the film to see for yourself & make your own mind up!!
My overall score a rather average 7/10.

On Tuesday we all went to the cinema, the first time we’d all been able to go in a few weeks!! Unfortunately there wasn’t much in the way of films on offer…..so we decided upon the latest offering from the Coen Brothers: Burn After Reading.
This wont be a long review as to be honest, I didn’t think that much of the film…..infact I thought it was pretty shite!! The trailers looked pretty good & it had a star cast including; John Malkovich, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton & Brad Pitt….so it really could have been good!! Then I found out that the Coen Brothers were also behind the worst film I’ve seen ever: The Big Lebowski….Oh Crap!!
The principle of the story was pretty good, basically the CIA get into a right mess & confusion about supposed leaked secrets from an ex-employee…but it all turns out to be a worry about nothing & they are infact investigating & covering up a non story!! The thing is just that…there is no story to it, I just couldn’t see the point of what was happening & it seemed that there was a distinct lack of any real comedy!! Maybe, I’m wrong & just didn’t get it – like The Big Lebowski, it may be a type of comedy I just don’t find funny….no doubt this film will end up to have a cult following, but it wasn’t for me!!
Rating: A very geneorus 4/10…..Lets hope for better this week, when we see the latest Bond film!!
